Flashing Sony Ericsson W700i...

Hii guys.....i am gonna post some great flashing stuff for sony ericsson phones...though i have tried these all only with my w700i still some of them work for other sony phones too but try at ur own risk..its important...w700i is probably one of the most unsatisfactory phones of sony..but flashing it improves it thousand times....believe me if u do it perfectly it rocks..

Now some basics of flashing a w700i phone......

we play with the software and the drivers in this process......
first check ur firmware version by pressing

WHERE > & < R FOR THE MOVEMENT OF THE JOYSTICK

there r two available for our phones .....R1CA and R1DB......
R1CA is the previous version of firmware while R1DB is the newer one which u get after upgrading your phone thru SEUS or the Sony Ericsson Update Service....

R1CA has the best sound quality......while R1DB has supressed sound...lower quality megabass but increase in battery life and upgraded camera driver version...
In the 4shared account i have uploaded the new camera 2.4 driver frm R1DB.....which can be used on R1CA main firmware as well....

so to improve sound quality we change back frm R1db to R1CA.....if u already have R1CA ....u need not flash it again for R1CA ...we can directly change the accoustic nd menus and other modifications thru far manager..

Our firmware has two parts.....Firmware MAIN and Firmware FS.....FS is the filesystem of our phone....which has the drivers and the files....which r required to work.....and the MAIN is like the platform for the Hardware.....

We can use the Main of R1CA with the FS of R1DB .....so if we upgrade thru SEUS......only by flashin the MAIN R1CA we get the megabass back...and the phone works perfectly well....
so avoid flashin the FS and customizin FS if u r not comfortable wid the process....u may mess up in this....

XS++ is the program for flashin ur phone and makin it compatible with FAR (read guides for this)
While FAR manager gives u opportunity to play with FS or the files inside ur phone....sound camera menu and other drivers......

now u will have some idea abt wht u r doin.....

keep in mind......if u already have R1CA u need not flsh it back again.....
